# Before starting a live

## Speaker guidelines

Before you start your live session, here are some tips:

1. Use the Chrome browser
2. Enable the camera and microphone for your browser

3. Make sure you are logged in to your account and that you have joined the Spot.
4. Make sure you have a good connection
 1. Connection speed: it's recommended to have at least 5Mbps in download and upload 👉 [Speedtest by Ookla](https://www.speedtest.net/result/11591682991)
 2. Stability test 👉 [Ping](https://ping.canbeuseful.com/fr#ping) (red bar = outage)
5. Don't hesitate to close similar applications that might conflict (such as Zoom, Teams, Skype or Google Meet)

## Do a real-life test

To ensure everything runs smoothly and to avoid any surprises on the day, we recommended being in the same location, on the same computer, with the same configuration for this test.

For this test, you can create a live on your Spot with the following privacy settings: "for invited members only":

* Who will be able to see that the live is taking place? only invited members.
* Who can participate in your live? Only invited members.
* Speakers: invite only the relevant speakers.
