Data Processing and Use of AI in MeltingSpot

If you enable the AI switch in the Advanced Features section on the General Settings page of your Spot, we will need to process and use certain data. Below, you will find detailed information about the collection, storage, and use of your data in this context.

Types of Data Collected

• PDF Documents: When you submit a PDF file to generate a course, we temporarily store the file for a maximum duration of 24 hours (after this period, the files are automatically deleted). This allows us to use it to generate a personalized course based on the content of the PDF.

• Replays: We do not store transcriptions of live replays used. However, we process these files only for the duration required to extract the necessary information to generate the educational content.

• Custom Settings: When you customize the settings of the prompt (e.g., learning objectives, target audience type, etc.), this information is stored to ensure continuity in your experience but is only used within the scope of interactions with our platform. It allows us to personalize the instructions sent to our AI model and improve the quality of the AI model generations.

Use of This Data

• Sending to AI Provider: To generate courses tailored to your needs, we send two main elements to Mistral AI:

  1. Content of the resource (PDF document or replay transcription): This is the content we analyze and use as the basis for creating the course.

  2. Configuration settings: Information about how you wish to adapt the course is sent to adjust the prompt.

• Processing by Mistral: We use the Mistral API to process this data. This model is used to generate educational content from the provided documents and settings.

  • Temporary Use: The data is sent to Mistral exclusively for the purpose of generating the requested course. After the content is generated, the data is either deleted or stored according to MeltingSpot’s practices (see the "Types of Data Collected" section).

  • No Commercial Use: The data sent to Mistral is used only for generating the course. It is not stored by Mistral for other commercial uses, nor is it resold or shared with third parties.

Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data. This includes secure transmission protocols for the information sent to Mistral, as well as measures to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to sensitive information.

Your Rights and Control Over Your Data
