To manage the members of a private collection, click on the Members
icon at the top right of the collection. You will then have access to the list of members already added to the collection. Then click on Add members
.
A drawer opens, allowing you to invite members 1 by 1 or via groups.
When you create a private collection, all the Spot admins are automatically added. You can then delete them if you wish. However, you must keep at least one admin on the collection, otherwise you will no longer have access to it.
By clicking on the Members
icon, you will find a table containing members who are not part of the collection. Tick those you wish to add to the collection. Use the Filters
or Columns
buttons above the table if you wish to display only certain members or certain columns.
Once you have selected your members, click Add
to give them access to this collection. They will receive a notification that they have been added.
In the Groups
section, you'll find a search bar: when you click, a list of groups not yet in the collection is displayed. You can filter the list by starting to enter the name of the group you want to add. Repeat the search several times to add all the groups you want.
If you make a mistake when selecting the groups you want, move your mouse over the group you want to remove and click on the X
to the right of it.
Once you have selected the groups, click on the Add
button at the bottom right of your window. The members of these groups are now part of your collection and will receive a notification to that effect! The groups appear in the collection header.
For any group associated with a collection,
Adding a member to this group automatically adds them to the collection.
Removing a member from this group does not remove them from the channel, you will need to remove them individually from the channel.
To delete members individually, open the side panel displaying the list of members in a collection by clicking on the Members
icon at the top right of the collection.
Scroll through the list of members or search for the member you want to delete using the search bar, then hover your mouse over the member in question: an X
button will appear on the right. Click on it to delete the member. Members deleted from a collection will not receive any notification.
You will not be asked for confirmation, so hover over your list of members with care!
In the collection header, you will find the list of groups associated with this collection.
For each group, an X
button appears to the right of the name: click on it to delete the group of channel members. A confirmation window opens to confirm your action.
The members of the deleted group do not receive any notification.
Once a group has been removed from the collection, all its members remain in the collection. New members of this group will no longer be automatically added to the collection.
